2016 Chinese New Year Parade

Butte's Chinese New Year Parade is tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm.  The Mai Wah Museum has a brand new dragon this year.  This is a really fun and unique event that should not be missed.  Here are some pics from last years parade:

Happy, lucky, healthy Chinese New Year

Mai Wah's Chinese New Year Dragon

The Chinese New Year parade in Butte, Montana is a trip!

Businesses all around uptown were visited, had evil spirits scared away, and were wished goo luck for the coming year of the goat (or sheep).

A good crowd of people showed up to chase the dragon around Uptown Butte.

Dia de los Muertos - Missoula, MT

Light Bike

For a small city in Montana, we have a really good Day of the Dead Parade.  The parade runs through downtown and ends in Caras Park on the bank of the Clark Fork.  There is a big party with all sorts of curiosities under the pavillion at the park.
